Try not to be sports "clueless." If his primary interests revolve around sports, and yous don't, try your best to become at least somewhat knowledgeable about his favorite ones and why they mean so much to him. Many women have become extremely athletic and knowledgeable about sports, which is either appreciated or causes apprehension in men.


Ask him out. Offer to drive. Make the arrangements. Pay for the date. All he has to do is show up. This will be a huge change of pace for many men, and a wonderful and unexpected surprise.


Let him know that you appreciate his efforts and attention. You need not constantly feed his ego or cater to him, but a quick and simple thank you from time to time can go a long way.


Drop him a note. Send him a flower or prepare his favorite food. Everybody likes to feel special. It is a facally that men don't like receiving intimate gestures of affection such as flowers, romantic messages, or gifts from women. Most absolutely appreciate them though they are sometimes more reserved in showing their appreciation. You can be sure they will gloat to their closest male friends about how awesome you are and how well they are being treated.


Be promt in responding to an offer for a date. Men appreciate siveness as it shores up their sense of security and self confidence when they know they are on of your priorities. If you hesitate in responding to their offer, they will believe your hesitation relates to them.


Don't check out or compare him to other men while you are out with him, as men are highly jealous creatures. No further explanation needed.


Don't overreact when he wants to go out with the guys. Encourage him to do so from time to time. This will provide needed breaks and time for you to spend by yourself or with your friends. Also, hanging out with the guys will make him appreciate you. He just might hear about how unhappy they are in their relationships.
